Coaching

Coaching that begins with the person, not a prescribed programme.

I work with senior leaders, founders, executives and professionals who want to understand a situation with greater depth and make considered choices about what comes next.

01

Executive coaching

Leadership, decisions, new responsibilities, competing demands and pivotal transitions can place familiar strengths under unfamiliar pressure. Our work creates room to examine both the practical question and the patterns around it.

02

Career development and work identity

A career question can also be a question about identity, purpose, status, belonging or the meaning of a next chapter. I help you consider the whole picture without forcing a predetermined answer.

03

Return to work

Returning after maternity leave or another significant period away can bring a particular mix of practical and personal questions. The work is shaped around your circumstances; no two returns are assumed to be the same.

Beginning well

The initial conversation is part of the judgement.

Where appropriate, we begin with a 20–30 minute thinking conversation. It is not a sales pitch or a coaching session.

It gives us a chance to consider what brings you, what you may need and whether my approach is a good fit.

If we agree to work together, I make a defined proposal with a clear scope and points to review how the work is serving you.

Organisation-sponsored coaching

Three-way contracting protects trust and clarity.

When an organisation sponsors coaching, I establish the boundaries with the sponsor and coachee before substantive work begins. This gives the organisation an appropriate view of the purpose of the engagement while preserving a confidential space in which the coachee can think openly.

A shared purpose

At the outset, the coachee, sponsor and I agree what the work is intended to support, how progress will be reviewed and who will take part in those conversations.

A private coaching space

The content of coaching conversations remains confidential. I do not give a sponsor a running account, disclose personal reflections or report what has been said in a session.

Clear, limited reporting

A sponsor may receive practical information that we have agreed in advance, such as whether meetings have taken place or a jointly agreed progress summary. Any exception to confidentiality is discussed clearly when we contract.

The precise agreement is tailored to the engagement and recorded upfront. If a safeguarding, legal or professional obligation could limit confidentiality, I explain that boundary rather than allowing assumptions to stand.

Scope

Is this the right kind of support?

Coaching offers a reflective, purposeful space for work-related questions and development. It is not a clinical assessment, diagnosis, medical treatment or an urgent mental health service. I will be direct if another route seems more appropriate.

A place to begin

You do not need to have the situation neatly explained before getting in touch.

A short note is enough. I will consider what the situation calls for and, where appropriate, suggest a brief thinking conversation as the next step.
